Can I use Working Spec on my mobile phone?

Yes. We have applications for both Android and Apple iPhone/iPad. Go to the App page of this web site for instructions on installing and using the mobile app.

Why aren't there more 3D animated detail models available?

We have only just launched our service. We are working with manufacturers and standards bodies to add more 3D animated detail models to the service. If you have any details you would like to see ASAP, please contact us.

Why does the 3D animated model only apply to a specific detail?

If we put too many elements into a 3D animated model it becomes too big to quickly download and stutters on play back. By restricting the models to specific details rather than whole assemblies you should get rapid download and smooth playback.

I am an architect and would like to incorporate your QR Codes into my plans.

We are working to integrate our software with ArchiCAD and other architectural modelling software. In the meantime, you can manually copy the QR Code on a Product Detail page and paste it into your plans.

Does the QR Code for a specific Product Detail ever change?

Occasionaly it may, but once a QR Code is generated it will ALWAYS link to the associated Product Details model.

Can I use the app without detail drawings?

Yes. A QR Code is available for each Product Detail. Simply print this QR Code as a tag or a sticker and attach to the Product or Product Detail.

Can I make my own 3D animated models for your app?

We do not allow this at present to maintain quality and accuracy standards. If you can build 3D animated models please contact us. There is a heavy demand from manufacturers for their product details to be made available and we are looking skilled people.

Can I view a 3D animated model offline?

Sorry, you will need an internet connection to view our 3D animated model. To make sure our models do not clutter up your device we do not store them locally.

Can I scan other QR Codes with your app?

Yes, but you will receive an error message saying that the QR Code is not recognized!

Can I scan a Working Spec QR Code with another app?

Yes. A generic QR Code scanning app will take you to our website App page where you can install the our app for your Apple or Android device.

Can I request changes/additions to Working Spec?
